Larvikite is a natural igneous rock and a variety of monzonite, known for its feldspar-rich composition and distinctive blue-silver schiller effect. The flashes come from light interacting with the internal structure of the feldspar crystals, creating a subtle optical effect that appears and disappears as the stone is viewed from different angles.

The combination of dark charcoal coloring and cool blue or silver flashes gives Larvikite a beautiful, almost celestial appearance.
